Either works — we design the solar so a battery slots in later without starting again. Buy in stages, plan it as one system.
Only what we design for stays on — standard systems shut down in a blackout unless backup circuits are configured. Tell us what matters (fridge, lights, wifi) and we'll set it up that way.
