Lighting design isn't complicated, but it is deliberate. Kitchens want strong, even task light over benches — usually cool-neutral around 4000K. Living rooms want layers: softer ambient downlights on a dimmer, with a floor lamp or pendant doing the mood work. Bedrooms run warm, 2700K, and never put a downlight directly over the pillow. Bathrooms need fittings rated for moisture zones, and outdoor fittings need the right IP rating or they'll be full of water by winter.
The switching plan matters as much as the fittings: which lights come on together, where the dimmers go, whether the hallway gets a sensor so nobody fumbles for a switch at 2am. We plan it standing in the room with you — it takes ten minutes and it's the ten minutes that makes the house feel right.
