Ceramic fuses, no safety switches, or no spare ways are the giveaways — the assessment tells you for sure, and whether it can wait.
No — most boards are done in a day with power off only a few hours.
A fuse protects wiring; a safety switch (RCD) protects people — it cuts power in milliseconds when current leaks. Modern boards put one on every circuit.
Usually not — a 7kW single-phase charger suits most homes. Three-phase is worth it for 22kW charging or big all-electric loads, and we'll tell you straight which you need.
