Privacy Policy
Polarised Electrical Services (ABN 76 678 469 175, REC 33326) respects your privacy. This policy explains, in plain English, what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we look after it and how you can access or correct it.
Last updated: August 2026
What we collect
We only collect what we need to quote and do the work:
- Your name, phone number, email address and the address of the job.
- Details you give us through the contact form, by email or over the phone.
- Records of phone calls, messages and enquiries — including call records and voicemail — so we can follow up properly.
- Job information such as photos of your switchboard, roof, meter or completed work, plus test results and certificates.
- Payment and invoicing details.
We don't collect sensitive information, and we don't ask for it.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, schedule and carry out the work, issue certificates and invoices, handle warranty questions, and meet our obligations as licensed electricians (including record-keeping and rebate paperwork where it applies).
We may also contact you about a job you've asked us about. We don't run spam campaigns.
Storage and security
Your information is stored in our job management, accounting and email systems, which are password protected and access-restricted to the people who need them. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep records for as long as we're required to for legal, warranty and tax purposes, then dispose of them securely.
We don't sell your data
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information. We only share it where it's needed to do the job — for example with your electricity distributor or retailer for a meter or supply change, a rebate scheme administrator, a product supplier handling a warranty claim, or our accountant. Those parties get only what they need, and nothing more.
Google reviews and website analytics
After a job we may invite you to leave a Google review. That's entirely your choice — anything you write is published by you on Google under Google's own terms, and we can't remove it for you.
Our website uses analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) that collect anonymous usage data like pages viewed, approximate location and device type, so we can see what's useful and what isn't. This data doesn't identify you personally. You can block it with your browser settings or an ad blocker.
Access and correction
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not legally required to keep it. Call 0431 568 379 and we'll sort it out — usually the same week. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, tell us first and we'll try to fix it; you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Australian Privacy Principles
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If this policy changes we'll update this page, and the date above will change with it.
