Terms of Service

These are the terms we work under. They apply to every quote we give and every job we do. Polarised Electrical Services — ABN 76 678 469 175, REC 33326.

Last updated: August 2026

Quotes

Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued. They cover the scope written in the quote — if we find something unexpected once work starts (hidden damage, non-compliant existing wiring, asbestos, access problems), we'll stop, explain it and give you a price before we go further. Nothing extra gets charged without your say-so.

Standard of work

All work is performed to AS/NZS 3000 (the Wiring Rules) and any other standards that apply to the job, by licensed A-Grade electricians. Where the work requires it, a Certificate of Electrical Safety is issued and supplied to you on completion.

Access and site conditions

You'll need to give us safe access to the work areas, including the switchboard, roof space or subfloor where relevant. Power may need to be off for part of the day — we'll tell you in advance and keep it as short as we can. Please let us know about pets, alarms, asbestos or anything else we should know before we arrive.

Payment

Payment terms are set out on your quote — typically payment on completion for smaller jobs, and a deposit plus progress payments on larger installations as set out in your quote. Invoices are issued by email. Overdue accounts may attract recovery costs.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Let us know as early as you can if you need to move a booking. Where materials have already been ordered or a crew day is lost at short notice, reasonable costs may apply.

Warranty

Our workmanship is warranted from completion, with the period stated on your quote and invoice. Products we supply — panels, inverters, batteries, chargers, fittings and appliances — carry their manufacturer's own warranty, and we'll help you make a claim under it. Warranty doesn't cover damage from misuse, storms, pests, work by others, or normal wear on consumables such as lamps.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and any dispute will be dealt with in the courts of Victoria. Questions? Call 0431 568 379.
