Ceiling Fans in Belgrave

With around 950 residents per square kilometre, Belgrave homes frequently have raked ceilings, which changes the mount and sometimes the fan. Because Belgrave sits about 200 metres up, ceilings are frequently lined timber, which changes how a fan is braced.

At about 36 kilometres from the CBD, Belgrave is outer-ring, where fans across the whole house are the norm rather than the exception. Being part of Yarra Ranges, Belgrave follows the standard position: licensed work, braced correctly, certified.

A note on how Belgrave developed: Though originally the area was known as "Monbulk" for the reservoir that lay near by, the town wasn't known as Belgrave until December 1904 when the railway station was renamed, and another suggested name for the town at that stage was Glassford. It tells us what the ceiling structure will be. Belgrave Heights, Belgrave South, Kallista and Selby and Belgrave form one continuous area for us rather than a list of separate suburbs.

At roughly 8.3 kilometres south-east of Boronia, Belgrave is inside the area we cover every week rather than on its edge. Belgrave is served by Belgrave railway station. Streets nearest the line are generally the ones with the oldest switchboards.

On the older parts of the area: === Puffing Billy Railway === Belgrave's most notable attraction is the heritage narrow gauge, steam-operated Puffing Billy Railway, which was reopened in 1962—after four years of restoration by volunteers—and travels through 24 kilometres (15 mi) of cool temperate rainforest, semi-urban development and rural farmland to Gembrook.
