Estate blocks are compact with dark tile roofs and close neighbours, so orientation varies street to street and a north face isn't a given — east-west splits are common and still stack up well. Roof room limits most homes to around 6.6 kW to 10 kW, which is exactly why a battery matters more here than a bigger array. New builds also have clean, uncluttered roof planes, so installs are quick.
